A customer in Farnham wanted a cat flap installed in the side door of her home.
Another company had already looked at the door and told her it could not be done and that she would need a completely new door.
I explained that the moulded panel made the job more awkward and that the finish might not be absolutely perfect, but I was happy to attempt it and keep the installation as neat as possible.
Around 30 minutes later the cat flap was fitted.
The cuts on the inside were neat enough that no silicone was needed there. On the outside, I sealed around the tunnel and faceplate with white silicone to minimise water ingress and keep the installation weather-resistant.
The existing door stayed in place and the customer got the cat flap she wanted without replacing the complete door.
