 A customer in Walton-on-Thames (KT12) contacted me about difficulty opening their front door from the outside. 

 This was a self-locking multi-point lock — the mechanism engages as soon as the door is closed, with the key only used to throw the bolt. On inspection, I found the top hook and latch working correctly, but the bottom hook was sitting around half an inch behind. With no further hinge adjustment possible, the keep needed repositioning. 

 I repositioned the keep to improve alignment. The lock immediately operated more smoothly, though due to the level of wear, I advised the customer it might only be a temporary fix. 

 For now, the door opens and locks as it should, restoring both convenience and security for the customer.
